He is sitting at 63 000 Euro right now. You better join in the bidding unless you want to be left out.

Cheap at the price! Not sure how many feathers on a pigeon but gold is about $1300 an ounce right now.

And I don't REALLY see why..... I mean he has been a great racer but a less than impressive breeder.....and that is a lot of money!
When the prices get that high - it is because of the "artistic factor" ...And in the eye of the beholder....
Enjoy the friendship and the pigeons!

Lots of money. I hope the bird will stay healthy and fertile until 18 years of age.

Nice eye!

I agree, Nelson. Surely a lot depends on the kind of flash used but some birds constrict their pupils (to varying degrees) and some don't.

I wonder what he would have sold for - Had he been a VERY GOOD BREEDER ?
Regardless - he has found his way in to racing pigeons HISTORY..
PS - Shows, there are lots of people that have money !
By the way! - If you watched the video of the bird - IMO - he did not look all that vital or healthy!........
Enjoy the friendship and the pigeons!

Lots also with no sense. Or perhaps the youngsters will be sold for a good price?

I held EuroDiamond in the past as well as some other of the auctioned birds.
I also held some child of him and they were really nice birds. However, the value of a bird is what people makes it! And this one, with 8 years old, was sold for 170.000 €... Who did it? People!

The asian continent came and stay and are really speculating prices. They buy and people sell! The laws of commerce!...

PIPA knows how to do it and a feather sold there is surely sold by a good amount...
